Dave Martinez To Make Around $1 Million Per Season To Manage Nationals

Dave Martinez's contract to manage the Washington Nationals is a three-year deal for $2.8 million, according to the >Washington Post.

The Post reports there is a fourth year option for $1.2 million.

Dusty Baker, who the Nats fired after the team fell in the National League Division Series to the Chicago Cubs, was paid $2 million per season.

Last year, the top-paid managers according to Money Inc. were Joe Maddon of the Chicago Cubs, Mike Scioscia of the Los Angeles Angels and Bruce Bochy of the San Francisco Giants at $5 million, Joe Girardi of the New York Yankees at $4 million and Buck Showalter of the Baltimore Orioles at $3 million.
